Can’t stress enough how important it is to keep you and your family safe during an unexpected wildfire. Here are some tips and fire safety measures you can take to avoid wildfire.
- As soon as you are done with your campfire, make sure you extinguish it completely. The bed of ashes should be cool to the touch and not smoldering.
- Give yourself a minimum of 10ft clearance around your pit fire or/and BBQ’s.
- Always have 5 gallon bucket or some other water source nearby
- Keep near thexfire a shovel and optional rank. The shovel is mandatory.
- Make sure you always have a current campfire permit on you. Call ahead to find out if there are any fire restrictions.
