Time to start preparing for CAMING SEASON! Better than Christmas to me. To start preparations think about where you want to go and when you want to go there. Holidays? Three day weekends? Spring, summer or fall?
Next, make those reservations as soon as possible. Ultimately, your goal will be to make the reservations a year in advance.
Then it’s time to bring out and hose off or wash our camping equipment. Take a detailed inventory of what you have. That way, you know what you need to purchase.
Check expiration dates on food, insect spray, and sunscreens. Any leftover cutlery, unless stored in airtight containers, throw out and buy new. Better safe than sorry.
Make sure to print out any maps and information you’ll need. DO NOT RELY ON GPS SYSTEMS as they will not work in most camping opportunities.
